Problem Solvers

Well run businesses led by successful and accomplished individuals can find themselves in unexpected, problematic situations that have the potential to cause significant financial loss. This is especially true in the construction industry where multiple parties with conflicting interests have to interact. Banks and financial institutions have exposure to capital at risk; contractors need to rely on a multitude of others to perform as expected; owners have to enter territory where they may lack familiarity. Every entity involved may be smart and earnest, yet problems - significant ones with serious ramifications - still arise.

In recognition of this, I founded Visidio Partners. We assist entities that find themselves having to contend with construction projects that are trending from bad to worse. Visidio Partners is a consulting firm, knowledgeable in and focused on the construction industry. Our interest is to assist clients resolve problems and preserve the capital value of projects that have faltered.

Workout, and turn-around consultants are terms often used as labels for the work we do. It may be more appropriate to simply think of us as problem solvers. We:

  • Bring construction projects back in line that are inundated by cost overruns and scheduling delays;
  • Establish project controls where the lack thereof has created conflict;
  • Coordinate with project design professionals, and direct the implementation of corrective procedures where substandard materials, methods, or workmanship were previously introduced;
  • Verify and validate compliance to building codes, project documents, and construction contract requirements;
  • Form partnerships with others where forensic analysis is required to determine cause of failures that occurred;
  • Mitigate the financial loss our clients may experience, and salvage, as best possible, the value of their investment.

We employ a sequential step process to bring about the resolutions required. In broad terms, the process may be charted as:

Assessment and evaluation

  • determine what has gone wrong, and why;
  • identify primary and secondary problem groups.

Strategize and plan

  • establish realistic goals and targets;
  • develop a plan to bring about corrective actions.

Manage, resolve

  • employ disciplined, concentrated managerial oversight to bring about the corrective actions required.

We maintain confidentiality, so we do not disclose potentially embarrassing information involving our clients. We do not talk in a manner that exposes the problems others have encountered. Only when identities are already public knowledge do we mention clients by name.

I established this business out of a genuine concern for companies and individuals having to deal with a difficult situation. With first-hand knowledge, I know the value of having someone in whom you can trust when the storms of adversity are moving against you.

Before any billable hours begin we take the time to develop open, constructive relationships. In so doing, we provide prospective clients ample opportunity to assess our capabilities. This also provides us the opportunity to assess problems that exist, and determine what corrective actions are required. We will decline contractual involvement and refer a company to others if we believe that to be in their best interest.
